INTERPRETATIONS AND DEFINITIONS

ARTICLE ONE: In these articles of constitution and all other by-laws and resolutions of the RAYS OF LIGHT FOUNDATION unless the context requires otherwise:
a) 'Foundation' means Rays of Light Foundation;
b) 'Act' means the Association Incorporation Act (chapter 142 of the Revised Laws of Papua New Guinea);
c) 'Board' means Board of Directors of Rays of Light Foundation;
d) 'Executive Director' refers to the person appointed by the Board of Directors to execute its directives and policies;
e) 'Natural person' means is a human being perceptible through the senses and subject to physical laws, as opposed to an artificial person, i.e., an organization that the law treats for some purposes as if it were a person distinct from its members or owners.
f) 'Juridical person' means an individual or collective body (i.e. any legal entity including any corporation, trust, partnership, joint venture, sole proprietorship or association) that is officially registered for recognition and protection under the laws of the land..
g) 'Definitive vacancy' means a vacancy which occurs through death, resignation, removal, or interdiction as opposed to temporary vacancy;
